You're watching VisiHow. In this video tutorial, we're going to review how to close applications and force-stop an application on your Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. There are two ways to force-stop an application.
The first way to stop an application by force is to press and hold the home button. This will open Task manager.
To close all of the applications, we tap on "Close all".
If you want to close only one application, tap and hold an application icon until a pop-up menu appears.
Then, tap on "Remove from list".
The second way to stop an application by force is to tap and hold the application icon. The icon can be on the home screen or in any folder.
Then, drag the icon to "App info" at the top of the screen. "App info" will be opened. In "App info", we can see the following buttons: "Force stop", "Uninstall", "Move to SD card", "Clear data", "Clear cache", etc.
Tap on "Force stop". Tapping "Force stop" will terminate the application if it has an error state or freezes (hangs). A pop-up window will appear that will read "If you force stop an application, it may cause errors."
This concludes our tutorial on how to close or force-stop an application on your Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. Thank you for watching VisiHow! Please leave a comment, suggestion, or question in the space provided below.
