Check Your SMSC

If your SMS messages have suddenly stopped, or if you can't send them at all, there is something wrong: Your SMSC (Message Center Number) is not valid. You need to change it to a valid message center number, so you can send your SMS successfully. There are many ways to help you in this regard. Either go to your SMS settings, search for "Message Center Number" and change it, or just follow these steps:

    1. Battery Information.
    2. Phone/Device Information.
    3. Usage Statistics.

Other Issues

Let's suppose you have done all this, followed all the steps, but came down to one step and got stuck there - Message Center Number. There is no special, magical number that you need to know. No matter what happens, you can simply call your network provider and ask him for the Message Center Number. A customer service representative would be able to provide you with all the details, including the number. Besides not being able to send a SMS from their Korean version of S2, people have also complained about not being able to send long SMS (messages longer than 80 or 90 characters). Instead of going through the painstaking task of breaking down your long message into many shorter texts, you can simply get help from SMS applications. Some of the famous Android SMS apps that can help you with your long texts are:

    Long SMS.

  4. 4
    Big Text SMS.

These applications can help you send long texts as well as MMS without any issues. However, if you still encounter some problems (which you shouldn't by the way), then all you need to do is to configure the Message Center Number on these apps as well. There is a possibility that these apps don't have the valid Message Center Number in their settings. For this purpose, just go into the message settings of these apps and you'll know what to do. Happy texting!
