Find the Location of Friends with Facebook Messenger and Get Directions to Them with iPhone 6

You're watching VisiHow! This is a tutorial on how we can find our friends' locations and even get driving directions to meet them with 'Facebook Messenger' on the iPhone 6.
Steps
- 1A single press on the 'Home' button will take us to the 'Lock' screen.
- 2Alternatively, we can press the 'Lock' button located on top, and that does the same thing.
- 3That will do one of two things. It may take us directly into our phone.We swipe across the screen.
- 4This will directly take us into our phone.Alternatively, if we have a password security set, we'll be on the 'Lock' screen where we need to enter our passcode, type in a password, or tap the 'Home' button with one of the fingers.
- 5'Messenger' is an application which most people use all of the time, because a lot of people have 'Facebook' accounts.Anytime we have an application that we frequently use, it is recommended to place it on the 'Home' screen.
- 6It is a blue chat bubble with a lightning bolt. We do not need to have 'Facebook' to use this, but we have to have the 'Messenger' application in order to message people.We have to find the icon.
- 7One tap will take us into the actual application itself. In the example, we are looking for a message from Chloe.Tap the 'Messenger' icon.
- 8All the conversation between us and the other participant will be visible. In this example, the person asks us to check out a restaurant that she has found.Tap on the message.
- 9There will be a map with a pin.Tap the message from the person.
- 10If we want to get driving directions, we tap the map.
- 11We can select 'View in Maps', 'Get Directions', or 'Cancel'.
- 12The first thing that is visible is our personal location on the map, and we might get no driving directions under the 'Drive' section.We tap 'Get Directions' to see how to get to the location.
- 13There might be no walking directions either.If no driving directions are found, we tap 'Walk' to see if the Apple application will get us walking directions.
- 14If no directions are found at all, we tap 'Apps'.
- 15In this example, 'Route' next to 'Google Maps' is tapped as the application has already been installed. 'Google Maps' is going to tell us how to get from my location to the location of the chat partner. Directions to the destination will now appear. It will also show how far it is and how long will it take to get there by car. In this example, it is 8 minutes without traffic to get to Chloe, and 9 or 10 minutes by alternate routes. The shortest route is 3.2 kilometers, there are 3.5 and 3.9 too.We can tap 'Route' on other installed map applications.
- 16In this example, bus 59 will take us there. The travel time is 23, 24, 21, or 25 minutes for various bus routes.We can also choose bus routes by tapping the bus icon on top.
- 17In this example, it is about a 40-minute walk. The distance is 3.2 kilometers. The time value might be too high if we tend to walk very fast. However, this is how we get to our friend's location.Alternatively, we can tap the little walking guy icon on top to find a route for a walk.
- 18It may more or less match the walking directions.We tap the car icon to get driving directions.
- 19We can tap 'OPTIONS' above the map.
- 20We can choose to avoid tolls, ferries, and highways.
- 21We tap the back arrow to go to the route options.
- 22In this example, there are no highways in these driving directions.We pull the map down to update it.
- 23In this example, there are no highways again.We tap the bus icon.
- 24In this example, there are no highways again. If we are outside of the major metropolitan area like New York, Washington, Chicago, or London, and if we want to avoid some larger roads and highways systems, then those are the options to check; and they will make our life much easier.We tap the little walking man.
- 25Tap the 'Home' button to go back to the maps section.
- 26Press the 'Home' button.
- 27Tap the 'Google Maps' panel.
- 28This will almost always fix it.
