- 14One is "HTC Dot View Music", and the other is "HTC Dot View Notifications". They are both activated, as we can see by a white checkmark inside the green box across from each application. The white checkmark inside the green box means that application is activated. These are obviously very essential applications for the HTC One M8, and that is why they are both activated. Turning them off may disrupt the phone, and that is why they are both turned on. You may see a bigger list, depending on the applications you have downloaded. We can actually view, edit, and control which applications does have access to the notifications. Make the choices right for you and what you're comfortable with.For this demonstration, there are two apps with access to our notifications.

- 16This will warn us by saying, "HTC Dot View Music Control will be able to read all notifications posted by the system or any installed app, which may include personal information such as contact names and the test of messages sent to you. It will also be able to dismiss these notifications or touch action buttons within them." It is quite invasive, and there are a lot of things it can do. It can read our messages, and we have to decide if that is something we are happy with.Press down on an empty box, and a message will appear on the screen.
