Find SnapChat Permissions on iPhone 6
Edited by Freya, Claudia, Jen M
Hi, you're watching VisiHow and today I'm going to show you where you can find SnapChat's permissions on the SnapChat application on the iPhone 6.
Steps
1
To start let's unlock our phone, which we can do by pressing the lock button the right-hand side or the big round button at the bottom of the screen called the home button
.
Simply swipe into your passcode, or hold your finger on the 'Home' button and use the fingerprint scanner.
2
Once we're at the home screen, find the 'SnapChat' icon
.
The icon itself is yellow with a white silhouette of a ghost inside. Just tap once to open up the app.
3
It automatically takes us to the camera, either the front camera or the back camera
.
4
We need to find the small white ghost at the top middle of the screen
.
Tap on the ghost to bring up the menu. Alternatively, when our screen is the camera, simply drag the camera down and bring up this menu as well.
5
Next, go to the top right-hand corner where you have this white flower, or cog, which symbolizes 'Settings'
.
Click once and to bring up your 'Settings' menu.
6
Then, scroll down until you find 'Additional Services', which is in blue on the left-hand side
.
It simply says 'Manage' under that. Click on that to open up the 'Manage' window.
7
'Permissions' at the moment is highlighted in red because there are things that it needs to clarify
.
Click on the bottom options to open up 'Permissions'.
8
As you can see, it indicates what permissions 'SnapChat' has, using different aspects of your phone, using your photos, your contacts, etc
.
Ours is highlighted in red because the 'Photos' are off. Simply go through the settings and change accordingly.
9
When you want to go back, go to the top left corner
.
10
If you want to edit permissions, click on 'Edit Permissions' at the bottom of the screen
.
This will take you to the settings, which is in the 'SnapChat' option.
11
Otherwise, go back to the home screen and find the 'Settings' icon, which is grey with a dark grey icon inside
.
12
Click on that and it takes you to this window where you can scroll all the way down until you find 'SnapChat'
.
It's towards the bottom because it's in alphabetical order. It's indicated on the left with the yellow ghost icon. Click on that and it takes you to the same option the app also took you too.
13
Double click the home button to go back to SnapChat as well
.
14
To go back, keep clicking the green arrow until it takes you back to the 'SnapChat menu' where you can just drag the screen up to get to your camera where you began
.
15
Thank you very much for watching
.
