Edited by Freya, Rushell, Eng
Hi. You're watching VisiHow, and today we're going to show you where to find apps and devices on the MyFitnessPal app on the iPhone 6.
Steps
1
To start, we should unlock the phone, which can be done by pressing the Lock button on the right-hand side of the handset
.
2
We can also press the Home button, which is the big round button at the bottom of the screen, to unlock the phone
.
3
This brings up the Lock screen, where we can swipe across to enter a passcode
.
4
Alternatively, just hold a finger onto the Home button, which doubles as a fingerprint scanner when the option is enabled
.
5
Once at the Home screen, we need to find the MyFitnessPal app, which we can recognize by the blue icon with the silhouette of a person jumping in white
.
There's also a gray tab in the upper left corner of the icon.
6
Tap once to open MyFitnessPal, and it will take us immediately to the Home page
.
7
At the top, it has the calories we have remaining for the day
.
I have not changed mine.
8
In the middle is the option to "Get Connected"
.
9
At the bottom are some "Blog Posts" that we can scroll through as well
.
10
We need to focus our attention to the bar at the bottom of the screen, and particularly the last option in the lower right-hand corner where it says, "More"
.
Just above this word are three horizontal dots.
11
Just press on that to open a menu
.
12
We need to scroll down to "Apps & Devices"
.
On the left-hand side is an icon that looks somewhat like a watch silhouette or a wristband someone might wear when exercising.
13
Tap to open the "Apps & Devices" section
.
14
Press down on an app to connect with it, let's say "MapMyRun", for example
.
15
On the app description page, we can scroll through to see more details about that particular app
.
16
If desired, tap on "Connect" in the gray box on the top left-hand side just below the app name
.
17
As soon as we press "Connect", it will take us to the App Store, where we would just download the app as we would normally
.
18
The MapMyRun application is part of the Apple iWatch set of programs as well
.
19
For now, we'll tap on the blue rectangle on the right-hand side of the screen that says "GET"
.
20
Then tap on "INSTALL" which will appear in the same place "GET" was before
.
21
After the app has been installed, we have the option to "OPEN" it by pressing on that rectangle
.
22
Since we've now installed MapMyRun, when we're running it will track that information
.
23
Just repeat the same steps for any other applications we would like
.
24
As we continue to scroll down, we'll see different devices such as the Apple iWatch or a "Fitbug Air Tracker"
.
25
Tap on the white arrow at the top left corner of the screen to return to the "More" menu
.
26
Now, tap on the house icon in the bottom left-hand corner to return to the Home page of MyFitnessPal
.
27
This is a VisiHow video, and we've just shown you how to find apps and devices on the MyFitnessPal app on the iPhone 6
.
If you have any questions or comments, please pop them into the section below. Thank you very much for watching. Bye.
