Hi. You're watching VisiHow and today I'm going to show you how to filter your search results on the TripAdvisor app on the iPhone 6.
Start by turning the phone by pressing the button on the right-hand side.
Alternatively, pressing the big, round Home button at the bottom of the screen turns the phone on.
Swipe to the right the enter your passcode or use the Home button as the fingerprint scanner.
Unlocking the phone will direct us to the Home screen. This one is personalized to look different.
Find the TripAdvisor app which looks like a green tile with an owl's face in yellow and white with big eyes.
Click the icon once to open the app and be taken to the main menu.
Search directly if you know the exact name and location of the site. That search has been discussed in another video.
You can search previously visited locations.
The 'Browse' section is another option of searching. As mentioned before, this is demonstrated in other videos. In this example, we will click 'Restaurant option.'
The location is set to 'London,' within any price, and for all cuisines. Click 'Search.'
We are directed to the restaurants in London within the broad search results.
To limit the search click the lower right-hand option called, 'Filter.'
Click on the price range option edit it.
As indicated here, the more pound signs (or dollar signs or whatever currency you use) the more expensive the cuisine. Click one or more to set a price range. A green checkmark appears next to your selection(s).
Click 'Done' in the upper right-hand corner when you're happy with the price range.
If you'd like to disregard those changes click the 'Filter' option in the top left-hand corner.
You will be redirected to the 'Filter' page when you select 'Done' or 'Filter.' Select a cuisine.
In the 'Cuisine type' menu, there will be a scrolling list of the most popular types of cuisines in your region in alphabetical order.
To make a choice, click the cuisine(s) you desire. These examples are Delicatessen, Caribbean, Asian, German, and British. The green checkmarks appear where ever you click.
If you want to discard your selections click 'Filter' in the top left-hand corner.
Alternatively, click 'Done' in the top right-hand corner to save and filter the results.
To specify neighborhoods select the last option.
This lists the neighborhoods of London. Click the locales or districts that apply to you. The green checkmarks appear on the right-hand side of the neighborhood to indicate it's been selected.
Click 'Done' on the top right-hand corner to save the selections.
Returning to the 'Filter' you can search with the 'Search' button on the top right-hand corner or the bottom green 'Search' bar.
After clicking 'Search' the restaurant list has been filtered to match the specified selections.
To change these options click 'Filter' again, located in the bottom right-hand corner.
This returns you to the 'Filter' menu where you can modify the price range, and cuisine type again.
To return to the main menu click the 'Back' button in the top left-hand corner.
Click 'Home' on the 'Search' menu to continue back to the main menu.
This is a VisiHow video and you've been shown how to filter search results on the TripAdvisor application on iPhone 6. If you have any questions or comments please pop them into the comment section below. Bye.
