Turn the phone on by pressing the power button on the right side of the phone, or the home button at the bottom of the phone

Swipe from left to right to unlock the phone

Open Kayak

The app will open to the screen that was previously being used, or the main menu. If the app opens to the previous screen, tap the back button in the top left corner of the screen to return to the main menu.

Once in the main menu, there will be a number of different options

Tap the filter icon in the bottom right corner of the screen to apply a filter to the search results

Tap the "Airline" icon to filter by airlines

By default, all airlines are selected. Tap an airline to exclude it from the results.

Use the two buttons, "All" or "None", in the top right corner of the screen to select all the airlines or none of the airlines

These buttons can be used for the airline, stops and airport filters.

Tap the "Stops" icon to filter by the number of stops, or connections, there will be in the trip

Tap "Airport" to filter by which airports to fly into or out of

Tap "Price" to filter by the price of the flight

Use this filter by sliding the meter to select a maximum price for a ticket. In this example, the price is in pounds. The currency can be changed in the app settings.

Tap "Time" to filter by the flight duration, layover duration, departure time and/or arrival time

Slide the meters to adjust the times.
