Hello! Welcome to VisiHow! In this video, we are going to show you how to filter messages in the inbox in Facebook on the Microsoft Lumia 535.

   To begin, we turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right-hand side of the phone

   To unlock the phone, we swipe the screen upwards

   We need to find the Facebook tile on the home screen

   The tile has a dark blue background with the Facebook icon in the bottom right-hand corner. The icon is a white square with the blue "f" inside. Tapping the tile will open up the application.

   "Basic filtering" is written underneath, indicating the selection. Tapping the section will show a page with two different options. The option currently selected is marked with the blue check. The option says, "Basic Filtering - Recommended", and, "Mostly see messages from friends or people you may know." This means that Facebook is going to allow the inbox to accept messages from people we have any connection with or from people we may know: friends of friends or people in the same group, city, or organization as we. The other option is "Strict Filtering". It says, "Mostly see messages from friends. Messages from people you want to hear from may go to your Other folder." With strict filtering, we are going to receive messages from our friends. All of the others will be filtered into the "Other" folder.

   If we want to select the "Strict Filtering" option, we just tap it

   The blue check will move. We'll be taken to the "Who can see my stuff?" menu. Underneath "Whose messages do I want filtered into my inbox?" we can see "Strict Filtering". This indicates that we have successfully changed the option.

    If we want to change back to "Basic Filtering", we just tap the "Whose messages do I want filtered into my inbox?" option
