    I have already highlighted an object which I created using the blob brush tool

    Please view our other Adobe Illustrator tutorials for instructions on how to create this type of shape. First you should make the object live by using your Selection tool located on the left-hand side toolbar. It is the black arrow icon.

    Click on your object to make it live

    A blue frame will appear around the object, letting you know that your object is live and can be edited.

    Next, click on Effect at the top of the window

    Then, click on Feather

    Once you have clicked on Feather, which is the second option from the top, a small dialogue box should appear

    In this dialogue box, place a tick in the box next to Preview to view your changes as they are made

    You can see a very slight effect now because we have a 5pt radius
    .
    For this tutorial, I'm going to zoom in on the object so you can view the changes more clearly. You can click to manually type in an amount to make the point much larger. You can also use the up and down arrows on the left-hand side. As you can see, the 50pt radius is so large that the entire object has been feathered since the object is thin.
