Fast Forward and Rewind YouTube Videos on iPhone 6
Edited by Freya, Robert, Jen M, Eng
Hi, welcome to VisiHow. Today I'm going to teach you how to fast-forward and rewind videos on YouTube using the 'YouTube' application on the iPhone 6.
To begin, unlock your phone by pressing the round button at the bottom of the screen.
Alternatively, press the 'Lock' button on the right-hand side of the phone.
Swipe to the right to enter your passcode. As an alternative to entering your passcode, put your finger on the 'Home' button to use the fingerprint scanner.
Find the 'YouTube' icon on the 'Home screen'. In this example, the 'Home screen' is customized and might look a bit different. The icon is red framed with a triangle inside of a white square that looks like a TV screen. Tap it once to open the application.
Find a video that we'd like to watch. Opening the application should have automatically taken us to the 'What to watch' page which will be either specifically recommended videos we've watched (if we're signed in), or if we're not signed in, it will be the most watched or most popular videos on YouTube at that time. We can refer to the article on how to sign in with 'YouTube' on the iPhone 6 if we don't know how to sign in.
Tap the video once to play it. As we can see, it automatically plays the video when we open it.
To pause a video, tap on the pause icon in the center of the video screen.
To play the video, tap on the triangle-shaped play icon in the center of the screen.
Tap on the screen to highlight the play bar at the bottom of the video.
Tap and drag the white circle to the right to fast-forward. As we can see, the circle moves very slowly along a gray bar. When we are watching the video or move the circle to the right, the red bar to the left of the circle indicates the section of the video that has been watched.
Tap and drag the white circle to the left to rewind the video or go back to the beginning of the video.
To go back, tap and drag the screen down to minimize it.
To close the minimized video, tap and drag it to the right. This will take us to the 'What to Watch' page that we started at.
Now you know how to fast-forward and rewind videos on YouTube using the 'YouTube' application on iPhone 6. If you have any questions or comments please enter them in the section below. Thank you for using VisiHow, goodbye.
