Is there a firmware file that is self-extracting? I don't have WinZIP to unzip the archive file?
Is there a firmware file that is self-extracting? I don't have WinZIP to unzip the archive file for the D2 713G
No, there is not; and you will have to resort to either built-in unzip functions of the Windows or, as a more universal solution, download and install WinRAR.
- 1Navigate to the WinRAR web page on your computer.
- 2For simplicity, you can just download and install this version.Locate and click your desired version of WinRAR.
- 3You may wish to associate all of the possible files with WinRAR.Launch it, and the program will be installed.
- 4After the installation has been completed, open your File Explorer (Windows key + "E").
- 5Navigate to the compressed firmware file (ZIP or RAR).
- 6Right-click the file.
- 7All of the files will be extracted to the current directory.Click "Extract Here".
If the firmware file is ZIP, then you can also just double-click to enter it in Windows. Then, select ("Ctrl"+A") and copy ("Ctrl"+"C") all of the files and paste ("Ctrl"+"V") them to another directory on your disk drive.
