To begin, unlock the phone by pressing the lock button on the right-hand side of the phone

You can also press the home button on the bottom-center of the phone.

Swipe to the right to unlock the phone

Enter your passcode or press your finger onto the home button, which is a fingerprint scanner, if that option is enabled. This will bring you to the home screen.

Open the Kayak application
.
It is a big orange square with a white "K" and a very thin black line through the middle. In my case, I keep everything in folders, so Kayak is in my "Travel" folder. Tap the icon to open it. That will take you to the screen you were on previously, or the main screen if it hasn't been used recently.

Tap "Explore" which is the 6th option

It has a picture of a 3D map and a pinpoint. This will take you to a map.

As you can see, there are lots of choices in Europe, North America and South America

The blue dots are current deals at the moment of searching.

To zoom in, pinch the screen

You will then be able to see all of the prices. You can also rotate by pinching and twisting your fingers.

For this tutorial, I'm going to look at Madrid in Spain, so I will tap on that deal

This gives you the option for May 19th to May 23rd. You can tap on "Find Flights" if that sounds good to you. If not, tap away from it and it will take you back to the map.

If you would like to specify where to search, you can use the toolbar on the top of the screen

To specify where you want to fly from, tap on the airplane icon and tap to the right of "Departing airport"

Here, you can search for an airport or use an airport you've searched for recently

For this tutorial, I will tap on "Berlin, Germany".

Now, all the flights will be leaving from that specific airport

If you tap on the airplane again, you can also choose the duration, flight time, and you can choose if you want the flight to be non-stop only

If it is orange, it means it is enabled. Tap "Done" at the bottom.
