In order to fix this issue, you need to perform the following simple steps below, so you can begin typing using your keyboard again: 1. Go to settings.

3. Select Default and select the Android Keyboard.

In the step: "You are on the symbols list. You may have accidentally tapped on the symbol button on the lower-left part of your keyboard. To get back to your letters, or normal keyboard view, tap on the symbol key again. Below is a picture of the messaging keyboard and the location of the symbol button.
Yes, this device does have a symbol button on the standard Android Keyboard for this device. The symbols button will be shown with a 123 on the key, and the letters key will have an ABC. Make sure you tap on the right button, so that you can begin to use letters on your keyboard.
A way that you can reset these keyboard settings is by performing the following steps:
1. Go to settings.
2. Go to language and input.
3. Change your default keyboard from what you are currently on, to another. After you've changed the keyboard, change it back to the original, which will in fact perform a reset of your keyboard back to the original settings.
