Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show you how to turn the WiFi on or off on an HTC One M8.

To begin, let's turn the phone on by pressing the Power button, located on top of the phone

Once the phone has been activated, we'll see the Lock screen

To unlock the phone, press down on the screen in the middle, and hold down until the lock/unlock icon is displayed, then swipe up

What we want to do in this video, is show how to turn the WiFi on and off
.
There are two ways to do that, but the simplest way is to swipe the Notification panel down. To do that, press down at the top of the screen, hold down, and swipe down.

Once we see the Notification panel, we need to swipe the Quick menu down
.
To do that, just press down at the top of the screen again, hold down, and swipe down again.

We can see that we have our Quick menu
.
These are quick options that allow us easy access to the different quick options that we've added to the HTC One M8. We have this option at the top, and it has the WiFi ("International") icon. There are are radio waves being emitted, and we can see them on the screen. We can see that it's green, which means it's currently activated.

If we press down on this icon, it's going to turn it off

We can see now it's white, and we can see it says "WiFi". We can see that it's turned off.

The other way that we can do this is to go to the Settings menu
.
To the Settings menu, we need to press the white cog icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Press down on the this icon, and it will open up our "Settings" menu
.
We can see it says the words "Settings" in the top left-hand corner of the screen.

Underneath that, there are the words, "WIRELESS & NETWORKS" in the gray bar

In this section, we can see the option that says the word "WiFi"

Right now, it's turned off because I just turned it off.

We can also see the icon on the right side of the screen that says "OFF"

If we want to turn the "WiFi" back on, just press down on the "OFF" icon, then we can see it's turned "ON"

The "WiFi" icon is green again, and the "ON" icon has a green section in it, as well. We can also turn it on in the first way we demonstrated when we turned it Off. We can also turn it back On there, just by pressing the same icon. We just wanted to show this other way of turning "ON" and "OFF" the "WiFi" as well.
