Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to turn ON and OFF the option to send your browsing history to Microsoft when using a Microsoft Lumia 535.

Steps

    To get started, turn the phone ON by pressing the Power button located on the right-hand side of the phone.

    Once activated, swipe the Lock screen up to enter the Home screen.

    We need to swipe down to enter the Notification Panel. We want to press All Settings located in the upper-middle right part of the screen to go to the Settings in a nice, fast and efficient manner.

    Next, swipe across to go to Applications. Here, we need Internet Explorer. Press on the option to enter.

    In Internet Explorer, scroll down and find Advanced Settings. Press the option to get to the Advanced Settings. What we want to do in this video is to show you how to turn off the option to send your browsing history to Microsoft.

    Here, on the third option of the menu is the option to send browsing history to improve and (where available) personalize services. What this option does when activated, is send your browsing history and search history to Microsoft and they will use it to improve their services and to personalize their services to you - what they offer you, what advertisements you see, and things like that.

    You need to choose if you want to have this option available. If you want Microsoft to know your browsing history, or to receive information about your browsing history, you can choose obviously - it is your choice. Just press the tick box to turn it on; or press it to turn the feature off.
