Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to turn on and off the option to receive notifications from Twitter about retweets on an HTC One M8.

   To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone

   .

   Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen.

   To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up

   Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the application folder.

   We can do that by tapping the icon in the middle, at the bottom of the screen

   There is a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder.

   Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap the Twitter application

   .

   There is a Twitter icon, which is a blue background with a white bird on tap, and underneath it says the word "Twitter". Your application may be in a different location, so look for the icon in your folder. Now we need to find the settings menu.

   To do that, tap on the 3 vertical dots in the top right-hand corner of the screen

   We want the option at the bottom, "Settings"

   Tap on the second option, which is the registered username for this application

   Scroll down and tap on the "Retweets" option

   Underneath it says the current setting, "Tailored for you". Three options will appear when we tap on it and the blue circle indicates which option is currently selected.

    Tap on the chosen setting

    We can choose to receive notifications about retweets from anyone or turn it off. We will turn this option off so that we don't receive any notifications about retweets by pressing down on "Off". We will then see the word "Off" under "Retweets", and the check box will now be empty.
