I have a Samsung J3. Can I disable group texting with this type of phone. I would like to never receive any group text?

Is there a setting on a J3 where I can disable or enable group texting? I don't want to receive ANY group texts. Is that possible. There was an app called GroupXit, but it is no longer supported I think. Different phone than the one in the article. I have a Samsung J3. I have tried: Blocking people in my contact list who keep putting me in group texts. I think it was caused by: But then I can't receive individual texts from the people I blocked.
