Hi, welcome to VisiHow. Today I'm going to teach you how to enable or disable Google Maps within the Google application on the iPhone 6.
To begin, press the lock button on the right-hand side of the phone.
Alternatively, we can unlock our phone by pressing the round button at the bottom of the screen.
Swipe to the right to enter your passcode. As an alternative to entering your passcode, put your finger on the home button to use the fingerprint scanner.
Once at the home screen, find and tap on the Google icon which is blue with a recognizable lower case Google "G" in white. This will open the application to the home screen where we can search by tapping on the white bar or the microphone icon. To learn how to search using Google on iPhone 6, please refer to the article on how to do so.
Tap on the gear icon in the top-left corner to go to the settings menu.
Scroll all the way down and tap on "Apps preferences". This will give us the option to enable or disable Google Maps use within the Google app. Google Maps is a separate app of its own, so maybe we want it to be an option within the Google application because it uses more space and more memory.
Tap on "Use Google Maps" to enable or disable the option. In this example, the button is highlighted blue because the option is enabled.
Tap on either "SWITCH" or "USE Google MAPS". The option will be enabled unless we want to switch to the actual Google Maps application.
Tap on "Done" in the top-right corner to go back to the home screen where we began.
Now you know how to enable or disable Google Maps within the Google application on the iPhone 6. If you have any questions or comments please enter them in the section below. Thank you for using VisiHow, goodbye.
