    Alternatively, we can unlock our phone by pressing the round button at the bottom of the screen

    Swipe to the right to enter your passcode
    .
    As an alternative to entering your passcode, put your finger on the home button to use the fingerprint scanner.

    Once at the home screen, find and tap on the Google icon which is blue with a recognizable lower case Google "G" in white
    .

    Tap on the gear icon in the top-left corner to go to the settings menu

    Scroll all the way down and tap on "Apps preferences"
    .
    This will give us the option to enable or disable Google Maps use within the Google app. Google Maps is a separate app of its own, so maybe we want it to be an option within the Google application because it uses more space and more memory.

    Tap on "Use Google Maps" to enable or disable the option

    In this example, the button is highlighted blue because the option is enabled.

    Tap on either "SWITCH" or "USE Google MAPS"
