Edited by Thor, Ash0hley, Jen M
Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how we can turn on or off the high contrast text in Google search on an HTC One M8.
Steps
1
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button, located on top of the phone
.
Once the phone has been activated, we'll see the lock screen.
2
To unlock the phone, press down on the screen
.
Hold down, and swipe up. Once the phone has been unlocked, we'll see the home screen. At the bottom, there will be icons.
3
Now, we need to find the "Settings" menu
.
To do that, we swipe the notification panel down. To do that, press down at the top of the screen, hold down, and swipe down.
4
Now that the notification panel has appeared, here is the icon we're looking for
.
In the top right-hand corner of the screen, there is a white cog icon. This is our settings icon. Press down on it, and it will open up our "Settings menu".
5
We can see it says the word "Settings" in the top left-hand corner of the screen
.
6
Now we'll scroll down until we get to the "PERSONAL" section
.
It says the word "PERSONAL" here inside of a gray bar.
7
We are looking for the option called "Accounts & sync"
.
Press down on this section. It will open our "Accounts & sync" menu.
8
We want to select the option, "Google"
.
Press down on "Google".
9
In this section, we want the option directly beneath "SETTINGS AND PRIVACY"
.
It says, "Search". Press down on the word "Search".
10
Now in this section, we want the first option, called, "Accounts & privacy"
.
Press down on this section.
11
We need the option at the bottom, "Accessibility
.
High contrast text." It is currently turned on. We can see that the icon beside it is blue. This makes the text of a higher contrast. It makes it easier to read, it makes it more defined, and it makes it easier for people that have vision problems or find it hard to read small text. This will make things easier for them.
12
If we want to turn this option on or off, just press down on the icon here
.
If it goes gray and moves to the left, then it's turned off. If we press down on it and it goes blue and moves to the right, then it is activated and turned on.
13
This then, concludes our tutorial on how to turn on or off the high contrast text, in Google Search, on an HTC One M8
.
