Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to turn on and off the option to sync data between Twitter and an HTC One M8.

    To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone

    Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen.

    To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up

    Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the application folder.

    We can do that by tapping the icon in the middle, at the bottom of the screen

    There is a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder.

    Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap the Twitter application
    .
    There is a Twitter icon, which is a blue background with a white bird on tap, and underneath it says the word "Twitter". Your application may be in a different location, so look for the icon in your folder. Now we need to find the settings menu.

    To do that, tap on the 3 vertical dots in the top right-hand corner of the screen

    Tap on the second option, which is the registered username for this application

    In this case, it says "VisiHow".

    Scroll down and find the "Sync data" option
    .
    This option is currently activated, indicated by the blue box with the white check mark inside.

    If we don't want to sync data between our Twitter account and the HTC One M8, we can press down on the box until it is empty
    .
    If the box is empty, the option is deactivated. That means that we won't receive any notifications from the Twitter application. We will have to open the application to see any notifications since it's not syncing data.

    However, if we do want to sync data and turn the option on, we can press down on the box until it's blue with a white check mark inside

    That indicates that the option is activated.
