Hello, welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to turn on or off the notification sound for the calendar application on an HTC One M8.

To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button

This button is located on top of the device.

Once the phone has been activated, we will see the Lock screen

To unlock the phone, press down on the screen and swipe upwards

Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see that Home screen

There will be five various icons in a row, located at the bottom of this screen. We now need to enter the Applications folder. To do this, we need to find the Applications folder icon.

The Applications icon is located in the row of icons at the bottom of the screen, it will be the middle icon

This icon features a grid of white dots.

Press down on this icon one time, this will open up our Applications folder

Once opened, we are looking for the Calendar icon

This icon is located near the top of the screen. It will feature a picture of a calendar, with the words "Calendar" written in white underneath.

Press down on this icon once, this will open up our Calendar application

Tap on the three, white squares in a vertical line in the top right-hand corner of the screen

This is going to open up a black menu bar for us

We are looking for the option labeled "Settings", tap on this one time

This will be the second option from the bottom of the menu.

This will bring us to a new menu, labeled "Settings" in the top left-hand corner

We are now looking for the fourth option down, labeled "Play notification sound"
.
We can turn this function on and off. If this option is turned on a sound will play when we receive a notification from the Calendar application. Just like if we were receiving a message or a Facebook notification.

We can turn this option on or off, simply by pressing the box located to the right of this option
.
Currently this box has a blue checkmark inside of it, meaning this option is turned on.

We will press down on this box one time, this will turn the notification sound off
.
We will also note that the blue checkmark has disappeared, the box will now be empty.

We will tap this box another time, this will place a blue checkmark in the box and turn the notification sounds off
