My mobile Galaxy S5 is not recognized by my computer. When I connect the USB wire I cannot see the drive when I open My Computer
This is one of the most common problems when connecting your Samsung device to your computer for the first time. It may take a while before your computer actually detects it. You may have to turn off and then turn on your computer several times before it is finally able to recognize your Samsung Galaxy S5.
Once it is able to detect it, you will have to authorize your computer through a dialogue box that will appear on your Samsung device. As soon as you have confirmed that, you will see an icon pertaining to your Samsung device under "My Computer".

Types of cords for Samsung Galaxy 5?
I am trying to find out what types of cords I can use to connect my Samsung Galaxy 5 to a computer to download photos. I do not have the data cord that came with the phone today, and want to see if there is an alternate cord.
You can order one on Amazon: Authentic Original USB charging packaging for GALAXY S5. Here is a specific cable for S5 right on the Samsung shop web site: USB cable ET-DQ11Y1WESTA. You can go to http://www.samsung.com/shop and choose your country. Then, just search for a USB cable. Make sure that the specifications show that the cable is compatible with your phone. Also, you can visit any Samsung store or point of sale and ask the clerk to sell you a cable for your S5.

Why does not the activated hotspot connection enable internet access on the laptop?
Galaxy S5 has mobile internet access. I turned on the mobile hotspot function and allowed WiFi access to all devices. Lenovo x220 with Windows 7 found the S5 as a wireless connection point. I clicked on it and it asked for the password to connect. After entering the password they were visible to each other and connected. On the network icon in the X220, the connection is on but no internet access and data transfer enabled. The same happens with S5 and another laptop Lenovo T410s. Is there any hint to tip for a solution?. I have tried: I tried to connect the S5 with another laptop with the same result. The internet provider is not responsible for the hotspot issue. The phone service does not know what is wrong. The computer service can not find any bug in the PC.. I think it was caused by: I do not know.
