Hi, you're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to enable internet access through Hotspot to connected devices on Windows 8 computers.
Steps
1
The first thing that we need to do is go to the "Network Connections"
.
The easiest way to do this is to right-click on the Windows icon in lower left corner of the screen, and then select "Network Connections".
2
Now, as we can see, we have already created "Local Area Connection* 4", which is named "VisiHow" in our previous tutorial
.
3
To give it internet access for other devices, we need to double click on "Ethernet", which is the current active internet connection
.
4
This will open up "Ethernet Status"
.
Now, go to "Properties" at the bottom.
5
This will open up "Ethernet Properties"
.
Now, we need to click the "Sharing" tab at the top.
6
From here, we need to click on the box next to "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection"
.
7
Under "Home networking connection", we need to select "Local Area Connection* 4"
.
It may also be "Local Area Connection* 11", or "Local Area Connection* 13". In any case, the name whatever we previously named it.
