To start with, download an application called Aura
.
Search for this program in the App Store and click "Get".

Then, click the green "Install App" button

You may need to sign in to download the application from App Store

Enter your Apple ID and password and click "Sign In" or press "enter".

Once the application has been installed, click the blue "Open" button

This button is located on the left side of the window at the same location as "Get" and "Install App". You will be asked to set up Aura with your Google account.

Click "Continue" at the bottom of the pop-up box

Then, click "Email" and enter your Google account email address

Now, when you receive a new email message, you will also receive a desktop notification. There may be a slight delay on the notifications, but they do work.
