Edited by Djinu, VisiHow, Eng
You're watching VisiHow. In this tutorial I'm going to demonstrate how to turn on "Do Not Disturb" on the Nexus 6P.
Steps
1
From the home screen take two fingers and swipe from the top
.
2
This is going to reveal the quick access control panel
.
3
You can select "Do Not Disturb" in the center
.
4
You will note that it's currently off because it is grayed out with a slash through it
.
By tapping on it once, you can set the options here.
5
You will have three options at the top
.
You can choose between "Total silence," which will prevent even music and games from playing on your device.
6
You can choose "Until you turn this off" or you can set it for a specific time duration, such as "2 hours."
7
I can increase this time by hitting the "+" or the "-" buttons to select the amount of hours I want to set for the Do Not Disturb
.
8
The other categories in Do Not Disturb are "Alarms only" and it has the same options
.
9
The last option is "Priority only." With this feature you can set up additional options, which we will go over now by clicking on "MORE SETTINGS."
10
Here it will show you that "Priority only allows alarms, reminders, events and selected callers."
11
You can change this to not allow Reminders or Events
.
12
You can also change the calls from "Only contacts" to "Starred contacts only" or "From anyone" or "None."
13
You also have an option here to allow for "Repeat callers." If somebody calls you twice within fifteen minutes, it might be important, so you may want to allow those calls to go through and I can click that option to allow that
.
14
Once I have selected all of the options within the Priority Only mode, then I can go back to the home screen
.
15
Then I can simply swipe down again to reveal the different modes and to make sure that the Priority Only mode is enabled for the amount of time that I wanted it to be enabled for
.
16
Once I'm set up with this, I'll just click "DONE."
17
You'll see that the icon is white, which means that it's enabled and it says "Priority only."
18
If I want to cancel the Do Not Disturb mode, all I have to do is click on it
.
19
Now I'll click the circle button to go back to the home screen
.
This has been a video tutorial on how to enable or disable the "Do Not Disturb" mode on the Nexus 6P. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them in the space below. Thank you for watching VisiHow!
