Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to set up bilingual predictive text on an HTC One M8.

Steps

    To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button, located on top of the phone
    .
    Once the phone has been activated, we'll see the lock screen.

    To unlock the phone, press down on the screen
    .
    Hold down, and swipe up. Once the phone has been unlocked, we'll see the home screen. At the bottom, there will be icons.

    Now, we need to find the "Settings" menu
    .
    To do that, we swipe the notification panel down. To do that, press down at the top of the screen, hold down, and swipe down.

    Now that the notification panel has appeared, here is the icon we're looking for
    .
    In the top right-hand corner of the screen, there is a white cog icon. This is our settings icon. Press down on it, and it will open up our "Settings menu".

    We can see it says the word "Settings" in the top left-hand corner of the screen

    Now we'll scroll down until we get to the "PHONE" section
    .
    It will say the word "PHONE" in a gray bar.

    Scroll down in this section, until we find the words, "Language & keyboard"
    .
    Next to it will be an icon that looks like a capital 'A' inside of a 3D box. Press down on this option. Our "Language & keyboard" menu will open.

    Now, we are looking for the option called, "HTC Sense Input
    .
    Keyboard options". Press down on that, and another menu will open.

    We want the first option, which says, "Keyboard selection
    .
    Choose keyboard type and language." Press down on that section.

    Here, we need the second option from the top, "Bilingual prediction, Suggest words in two languages." This option does exactly what it says it will do
    .
    It allows us to have two different types of text for two different languages. This is useful if we are switching between languages, or talking to people in a mixture of two languages, which is very common throughout the world. People like to use some words from one language, and some words from the other.

    In order to set up this function, press down on this section
    .
    It's going to give us a warning that says, "Bilingual prediction, Bilingual prediction is available only when using a Latin-based keyboard." We cannot use, for example, a Chinese alphabet, with English. We cannot have "Bilingual prediction" for two different alphabets. It has to be a Latin based alphabet. Press down on the word "OK".

    Here, we have the option to select our second language
    .
    Right now, "None" is selected. There is a green circle to the right of the word. Let's scroll down, until we find the language that we want.

    Let's find "Espanol" and press down on it

    It has been selected and we now have a bilingual predictive text on our HTC One M8.
