Questions and Answers
How to transcribe a voice memo?
Once I've edited my voice memo, what's the easiest way to have it converted to text?
The easiest method is listening to it and typing it on a computer with a keyboard. Other methods, like buying Dragon for PC, are expensive and inaccurate. It will take much more time to correct the automatically recognized speech rather than transcribe it.

What is the recommended tool/ application available for editing the MPEG4 audio files?. I have tried: I found that there is an option available in iPhone itself to trim and save. I prefer to edit the file in my computer as I can control the mouse better rather than using finger to move the button for trimming.. I think it was caused by: This is not misbehavior. It is a system design by Apple. I am trying for workaround as iTunes does not provide audio editor.

I have tried: I used the voice memo editor, but it seems that when I make a selection with the blue box, there is no provision for deleting the selection and keeping the rest of the file

I edited out the section of the voice message I wanted to keep on the original recording. Is there a way to get it back?
First time editing a recording. Thought I had the section copied that I wanted out, but when I hit edit original, all I was left with was the part I wanted to eliminate. Any chance the original is still backed up somewhere?. Thanks. No information in your article on this situation. I read through it but couldn't find any info. I have tried: Nothing, I don't know what to try. I googled ;how to reverse edits of voice messages and your article came up. I think it was caused by: User error - not understanding how to edit a voice recording and unaware that I had selected the entire 1:17 recording.
