1
To begin, we need to unlock our phone by pressing the lock button
.
2
Alternatively, we can press the home button
.
3
4
We enter our passcode or use the fingerprint scanner
.
5
We need tap the Flipagram icon once to open up the application
.
It will automatically take us to the home page, where we see different posts, depending on whom we follow and on what is currently trending. The home page is indicated by the house icon in the bottom left-hand corner.
6
We tap the plus icon near the house icon to create our own Moment post
.
As we can see, we have the option to choose from Instagram, Facebook, or Camera Roll. There are VisiHow videos on how to work with those in Flipagram. Basically, we need to give access to Flipagram to work with Instagram, Facebook, or Camera Roll photos. In this case, we'll use Camera Roll because of better images stored there. However, we can use Instagram or Facebook as well; and it will look very similar.
7
We tap an Instagram, Facebook, or Camera Roll album
.
In this case, we tap a Camera Roll album.
8
We tap photos to select and include them within our post
.
We'll see the number of selected photos at the top.
9
We can tap the selected photos again to deselect them
.
This will remove the check from the circle.
10
We tap "Next" to come to the next screen
.
11
We have the option where we can rearrange the photos
.
If we tap and hold a photo, we can drag it to move it around the screen. This will create a different order. We can keep doing that until we have the order that we like.
12
If we want, we can tap the cross in the corner of a photo
.
We'll have the option to remove the photo as well. Flipagram will double-check with us.
13
We can tap "Cancel" to keep the photo
.
14
Alternatively, we can tap "Delete" to remove the photo
.
15
We can also add more photos by tapping "Add Moments" in the bottom right-hand corner
.
16
We tap "Next" in the top right-hand corner
.
We'll be given the option to edit our post. We don't have to do this, although it is preferable.
17
First, we tap the "Music" icon
.
The icon has a music symbol.
18
We can go through and select "My Music", "Find Music", or "Record Voice Narration"
.
19
For now, we tap "My Music"
.
20
Then, we should select music or artist that we prefer
.
In this video, we select "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd. We'll see Flipagram insert that song into our post. The application will specify the song name.
21
We can scroll through and pull the screen until we get to a certain part of the song
.
In this video, it is Pink Floyd; so it might be quiet until a certain point.
22
If we want to listen to the song, we tap the play button above the waveform
.
Flipagram will play it for the duration it will be in our post.
23
The red waveform is the selected duration. The blue waveform is the duration that we have not selected. We keep moving the waveform until we find a piece that we prefer.
24
If we tap the button to the left of the play button after we tap it, Flipagram will keep rewinding to the beginning of the selected section
.
25
Then, we have the option to remove the song by tapping the cross in the bottom-right corner
.
26
Alternatively, we tap "Done" to confirm and add the song to the post
.
27
Next, we can tap "Speed"
.
This is the option to change the speed.
28
We move the scroller to the tortoise or the hare
.
Obviously, the hare is faster; and the tortoise is slower. The duration will range from 3 seconds per photo to 0.10 seconds per photo. It's quite a difference. Depending on our preferences, we can move the speed scroller accordingly.
29
We can tap the play icon then to preview any changes
.
30
If we find that the pictures change too slowly, we can adjust the scroller to see what difference it makes
.
31
We tap "Done" when we are satisfied with the changes
.
32
At any time, we can tap the "Preview" icon then to preview any changes to see how we are doing so far
.
The icon is red and is in the middle.
33
We can add filters by tapping "Filters"
.
34
We can tap various filters to select them, depending on what we prefer
.
The filters vary a lot in style.
35
Again, we can tap the play icon then to preview the filter on all of the photos or videos that we have decided to upload
.
36
If we don't want any filters, we tap "None" at the front
.
37
We tap "Done" when we are satisfied with the changes
.
38
Finally, we tap "Edit" at the right-hand side
.
This is where we can make technical changes to different photos.
39
If we tap "Tap to Enter Title" in the first photo, we have the option to add the title
.
40
In this video, we type "Cat", because it is a cat for now.
41
42
We can tap "Text" to add text again
.
We'll have two text boxes. We can move the text boxes.
43
44
Alternatively, we just tap "Done" if we decide that we don't want to add text
.
45
We can tap "Duplicate" to duplicate the photo
.
46
We can tap "Delete" at the right-hand side to delete the photo
.
47
48
We can also tap "Rotate" to rotate the photo as well if it is not the right way round
.
49
We can do those for each photo separately by tapping arrows left and right
.
If we tap the text icon for one photo, then it does not mean that it implants to every single photo.
50
Once we are satisfied with the changes, we tap "Done" in the top right-hand corner to save any changes
.
Flipagram will give us an automatic preview before we proceed.
51
We can pause the preview by tapping the "Pause" button with two lines in the middle
.
52
We tap "Next" to come to the next page
.
This is where we can enter our caption. If we have a title for the post, or if we want to add people or hashtags, then this is where we do that.
53
For example, we type "Weekend"
.
54
We can add a hashtag by tapping "# Add Hashtag"
.
Tapping it will put a hash sign.
55
We can also just type a hash sign manually by means of the virtual keyboard
.
56
For example, we type "Cats" and "Fruit", for example
.
57
We can add a friend as well by tapping "@ Mention a Friend"
.
The add sign will appear. We can add it manually, but we don't have to. We are not doing that in this example.
58
We have the option to post it to our profile
.
When the toggle is white, we won't post it to our profile. When it's blue, which is a default setting, it will post it to our profile.
59
We just press "Done" in the top right-hand corner
.
60
Then, we are given the option to share the post
.
We may select whichever media we want and give them access.
61
Alternatively, we just tap the cross, and the application will only post it to Flipagram
.
The post will appear on our home page.
62
We can tap the play icon and view our Flipagram post
.
In this example, it will be a slide show as a video. All of the details that we had are also added underneath as well.
