Edited by Freya, nitid, Jen M, Eng and 1 other
You're watching VisiHow. Today I'm going to show you how you can edit your workout settings on the MapMyRun application on the iPhone 6.
Steps
1
To begin, we need to unlock the phone either pressing the Lock button on the side or the Home button on the at the bottom
.
2
Swipe to the right to enter the Passcode or use the fingerprint scanner as shown
.
3
Find the MapMyRun icon, which is blue and white
.
Tap once to open up the app.
4
It will automatically take us to this page where we can begin to record the workout
.
5
However we need to tap these three horizontal in the top left-hand corner to bring up the menu
.
6
Scroll all the way down until we find "Settings" which is second from the bottom with a cog on the left-hand side
.
Tap on that.
7
Here we can go to our workout settings which is this first option
.
8
First we have the option to enable or disable the "Voice Feedback."
9
We can disable if we don't want it at all
.
We can change the volume using the scroller.
10
We can suggest how many "Intervals" we want them to talk to us
.
Either by "Distance" or by "Time." This example has it set to every "5 minutes" as can be seen.
11
We can just click on whichever one we want
.
At the moment this one is two minutes with the checkmark on the right-hand side has moved.
12
We go back and we can edit our "Total Distance," our "Total Time," etc., just by pressing on the bubble to disable or enable and it goes blue
.
We don't need to press Save anywhere for that.
13
We can go back to "Settings" in our the left-hand corner
.
14
We can do the same with the "Delay Start Timer" where we simply click which ever time suits us
.
15
We see it takes us back to the screen where the checkmark is here where we indicated
.
We don't need to press Save anywhere.
16
Then we can change our "Unit."
17
If we prefer to be in "Metric" or "Imperial." This example uses "Imperial," but we can select kilometers if that's what we prefer
.
18
We can change our "Heart Rate Zones," but that's only if we've upgraded to MVP which we can see is indicated by the orange teardrop shape on the right-hand side
.
View my other video to see where to update to MVP through the app.
19
Next, we can enable or disable three options
.
"Prefer Speed For All Activities" can be enabled or disabled. We can "Auto Pause," enable or disable, "Keep Screen On," enable or disable, and so on.
20
Finally, we have to "Configure Stats." We click on it
.
21
Then we can select exactly which ones we want to configure
.
This is very technical really. We just click on here to enable which ones are shown during our workout.
22
Go back by pressing "Settings" in the top left-hand corner
.
We don't need to press Save because this is automatically saved now, in our Settings.
23
Press our three horizontal lines in the top left-hand corner
.
24
Tap on "Record a Workout."
25
With our new edited settings we can start our workout again
.
This takes us back to the screen where we began.
