To begin turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on the right-hand side of the phone

Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen

To unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards

On the home screen we need to find the Facebook tile

It has a blue background. In the bottom right-hand corner of the tile, there is the Facebook icon, which is a white square with a blue "f" on top.

Press down on the Facebook tile, and it will open up the application

We now need the icon at the far right side of the screen and in the white bar at the top

We need to press down on the word "Edit" in blue text on the right

The first option at the top says "Get text notifications"

This is the option that decides whether or not we want to receive text notifications.

There is currently a blue check on the right, across from that option

This means the option is activated, and we are receiving text notifications.

If we don't want to receive text notifications, we can press down on that check mark on the right to remove it

Then we have the options for the different types of notifications that we can receive
.
Those include, "Comments on my status updates and timeline posts" "Friend requests", and "Everything else". These are the three different types of notifications we can receive.

This means they are all activated, and we are receiving notifications about all of these sections.

To deactivate any of the options, just press down them until the check disappears

For example, we'll press down on "Everything else", and as we can see the check has disappeared

That means the option is deactivated, and we will no longer receive text notifications about "Everything else".
