Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to edit what email notifications you receive from Facebook on an HTC One M8.

   To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone

   Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen.

   To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up

   Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the application folder.

   We can do that by tapping the icon in the middle, at the bottom of the screen

   There is a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder.

   Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap the Facebook application

   There is a Facebook icon, which is a blue background with a white "f" inside, and underneath it says the word "Facebook". Your application may be in a different location, so look for the icon in your folder.

   We now need to tap the menu icon in the top right-hand corner to find the account settings menu

   Scroll up or down to find "Account Settings", and tap on it

   There will be a gray circle with a white head and shoulders and gear inside. This will open up the account settings menu.

   We want the option labeled "Email"

   We will have three options here, "All notifications, except the ones you unsubscribe from" which is currently selected, indicated by the blue check mark, "Important notifications about you or activity you've missed", and "Only notifications about your account, security and privacy".

   Tap on the chosen option

   We can either see everything, just the important ones, or only notifications about our account security or privacy. We're going to choose to receive important notifications. We will return to the "Notifications" page, where we will see "Changes saved." at the top. We can change this option at any time.

    There is a slight glitch with this application, especially with this menu

    If we press down on this option again to change it, we will see the option turn blue but not open.

    We need to press the back arrow in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen
