Edited by Freya, Courtney, Eng
You're watching VisiHow. In this video, I am going to show you how you can edit table options on the Numbers application, on an iPhone 6.
Steps
1
To begin, we need to unlock our phone by pressing the Lock button
.
This button is located near the top, on the right-hand side of the device.
2
Alternatively, we can press the Home button one time
.
This button is located at the bottom center, on the front side of the phone.
3
We will then press our finger to the screen, then slide to the right
.
4
This will bring us to the Passcode or Touch ID screen
.
5
Here we can enter our Passcode to unlock the device
.
6
Alternatively, we can press and hold our finger to the Home button
.
This will activate the Touch ID sensor, also unlocking the device for us.
7
From the Home screen, we need to find the Numbers application icon
.
This icon is green, with a white bar graph inside of it. Underneath, the word "Numbers" will be written in white text.
8
Tap this icon one time, this will open the application for us
.
In another video, we have already demonstrated how to create a new document.
9
We now need to access a document, we can do this by simply tapping on the document image
.
We can also choose to create a new one, if needed.
10
In this document, there needs to be any basic table added
.
11
In any format, we will have four options in the top, right-hand corner of the screen
.
12
We are now going to tap anywhere on the table, this will select it for us
.
13
Now let's tap the paintbrush icon, located in the top, right-hand corner of the screen
.
This icon will be closest to the center of the screen.
14
This will open up our table settings
.
15
Here we can tap to select different colors, and even different layouts for our table, by simply tapping on the options shown
.
16
Underneath of these colors, we have an option labeled "Table Options"
.
17
We will tap this option one time, this will open our table options for us
.
18
To disable one of the options shown, simply tap on the white circle located to the right of it
.
We will disable and enable "Table Name", "Table Outline", and "Alternating Rows". If the slider behind the circle is green, it means the option is enabled. However, if the slider is white, it means the option is disabled.
19
To enable an option, simply tap on the white circle until the slider is green
.
20
We can then tap on the fourth option down, labeled "Grid Options"
.
21
This will bring us to another menu, where we can edit our grid options the same way
.
22
We will tap on the circle to the right of "Header Column Lines", this will disable this option
.
23
Now we will tap on the same circle another time, this will enable "Header Column Lines" for us once again
.
24
We will then tap the blue arrow in the top, left-hand corner of this menu to go back
.
25
In the "Table Options" menu, we will now tap the last option labeled "Table Font"
.
26
This will bring us to a new menu, here we can choose the font for our table
.
The default for our table is "Helvetica".
27
Here we can scroll through, tapping on a font name to select it
.
This menu is in alphabetical order, making it easy to find the font we want to use. For example, we will select "Arial".
28
We will then scroll back down, tapping on "Helvetica" to reselect that font
.
29
To the right of these options, there will be an icon featuring a lower-case "I" inside of a circle
.
30
We will tap on this icon beside "Helvetica Neue" one time
.
31
This will bring us to a new menu, where we can select different versions of the font
.
We can tap on any of these options to select it.
32
We will then tap "Table Font", located in the top, left-hand corner of this menu
.
33
Then, we are going to tap on "Table Options", located in the top, left-hand corner of the "Table Font" menu
.
34
Underneath of the "Table Font" option, we have the options labeled "Smaller" and "Larger"
.
35
We will tap on "Smaller", this will shrink our table
.
36
We will now tap on "Larger", this will increase the size of our table
.
37
We can adjust our settings accordingly, and then tap the arrow in the top, right-hand corner of the "Table Options" menu
.
38
This will close the menu for us
.
39
Then we are going to tap on "Done", located in the top, left-hand corner of the screen
.
40
Our settings have now been saved
.
