    To begin, unlock your phone by pressing the round button at the bottom of the screen

    Swipe to the right to enter your passcode
    .
    As an alternative to entering your passcode, put your finger on the 'Home' button to use the fingerprint scanner.

    On the 'Home screen', find the 'SnapChat' application

    The icon is yellow with an outline of a white ghost inside it. Tap it once to open the application.

    Take a photo
    .
    As we can see, it automatically takes us to the back camera, ready for us to take a picture. You can simply take the picture by tapping the round button at the bottom of the screen.

    Choose an editing option

    We can edit using the text icon or the pencil icon in the top right corner. In this example, we will be using the text editing. Tap the text icon once.

    Type in the text
    .
    You can type anything you like into the black bar on the screen, but it is limited to the space within that particular bar.

    Another way to type in the text is just to tap anywhere on the picture
    .
    You can tap and drag the black bar with text up and down to a different location on the picture. Press done when you are finished.

    Edit by tapping on the pencil located at the top right of the screen
    .
    Select a color by tapping and dragging on the color bar at the top right. When we've chosen a color, we can use your finger to draw whatever you'd like on the picture. When you're finished, tap the arrow in the bottom right corner.
