Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to edit a Skype profile on an HTC One M8. To begin, unlock the phone. We can do that by pressing down on the power button located on top of the phone. We'll then need to swipe the lock screen up, and that will take us to the home screen.

On the home screen, we need to tap the icon at the bottom of the phone, in the middle

There is a grid made up of white dots. This will open up the applications folder.

In this folder, we need to find and tap the Skype application

There is a Skype icon, which is a white "S" on top of a blue cloud, and underneath it says "Skype".

We now need to use the icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen

It's a circle with our profile photo in it.

We want to tap "View profile"

We will see our profile with our full name, gender, birthday, language, city, etc., and we can change the majority of these options. If it's highlighted in blue, that usually means we can edit them. If we press down on our Skype name, we'll see that we can't edit it.

If we press down on the blue text under "Gender", we will be able to choose between "Male", "Female" or "Not specified"
