You're watching VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show you how you can edit your settings on the LinkedIn application on the iPhone 6.
Steps
1
To begin, unlock the phone
.
Either press the lock button on the side, or the home button at the bottom.
2
Swipe from left to right across the screen
.
3
Enter the passcode, or press a finger to the home button to use the fingerprint scanner
.
4
It is blue with a white "in" written on it. Tap once to open it up. It will automatically take us to our home page, which is full of different articles and things that our contacts have posted.
5
Press the LinkedIn icon in the top left corner
.
6
It's right at the bottom. Opening that brings up our settings window.
7
Tap "Try Premium for free" if desired
.
We're not going to do today, because we don't want Premium.
8
Sync contacts by tapping on the slider icon to enable it
.
It asks, "See who else you know on LinkedIn".
9
Press "Continue" to go through this process
.
10
Press "OK" to sync phone contacts
.
We will press "Cancel", because we would rather not do that right now.
11
Press the back arrow to go back to settings
.
The slider next to "Sync Contacts" would be green if we had enabled it.
12
Tap "Download Connections"
.
13
Press the slider icon to download LinkedIn connections to the iPhone Address Book
.
We don't have our connections listed, so we won't enable it.
14
Press "Push Notifications"
.
15
Edit notification options for the application
.
Press any text here and it will remove the checkmark, disabling it. Repeat to add a checkmark and enable it. So if we don't want notifications about someone liking our update, we tap to remove the checkmark. The default setting is to have everything enabled.
16
Press the back arrow in the top left corner of the screen
.
We don't need to press save anywhere.
17
From this page, we can view our "Version", the "Help Center", "Privacy Policy" and various user agreements
.
18
Press the LinkedIn icon in the top left
.
19
Press "Home" near the top of the screen
.
20
Drag the screen down from the top to update
.
We're back to the page where we began.
