To begin, unlock the phone

Either press the lock button on the side, or the home button at the bottom.

Swipe from left to right across the screen

Enter the passcode, or press a finger to the home button to use the fingerprint scanner

Find the Kik application
.
The icon is white with a black speech bubble. Tap once to open up the app.

Press the wheel icon in the top left corner

This is the settings icon, and opens up profile information. In this demonstration, we don't already have a profile picture.

Tap "Set Photo"

Now we have the option to take a photo or choose an existing one. We will choose an existing photo.

Press "Choose Existing"

We need to give the app access to our camera roll

Currently, it does not have access. The same thing would have happened if we had chosen "Take Photo".

Press the home button on the bottom of the phone

Scroll down to find the Kik application

It is with other apps at the bottom. Click on "Kik". We will see "Photos" as disabled, indicated with a white slider on the right.

Press the slider icon next to "Photos" to enable

The photo will open, and we can press "Cancel" or "Choose".

Zoom in or out by pressing and dragging in and out in a pinching motion

We can re-frame by pressing and dragging around. The final photo is what is shown inside the white square barrier.

Now we can see the profile photo added to our profile information.
