Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to change what type of internet connection to use to back up files from the Photos application on an HTC One M8.

   To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone

   .

   Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen.

   To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up

   Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the application folder.

   We can do that by tapping the icon in the middle, at the bottom of the screen

   There is a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder.

   Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap the Photos icon

   .

   It is an icon of a shape made up of different colors, and underneath, it says the word "Photos". Your photos application may be in a different location, so look for the icon in your folder. We now need to find the settings menu.

   We can find the settings menu by pressing down on the 3 horizontal lines in the top left-hand corner of the screen

   It will open up a menu.

   We want to tap on "Settings", which will open the settings menu

   We want to press down on the first option, "Backup & sync"

    We have two options here, "Over WiFi or mobile network", or "Over WiFi only". This gives us the option to choose when we back up photos. "Over WiFi only" is currently selected, indicated by the turquoise circle on the right-hand side.
