Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to edit the default reminder time in the Calendar application, on the HTC One M8.

Steps

To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button, located on top of the phone

Once the phone has been activated, we'll see the lock screen.

To unlock the phone, press down on the screen and swipe up

Once the phone has been unlocked, we'll see the home screen. At the bottom, there will be icons.

Here is where we now need to focus since we need to open the Applications folder

We need the icon located at the bottom of the home screen, in the middle. It looks like a grid of white dots. Press down on this icon. It will open up our Applications folder.

In this folder, we need to find the Calendar application
.
It is located here, at the top of the screen. We can see an icon of a calendar, with the word "Calendar" underneath it. Press down on this icon. It will allow us to enter the Calendar application.

We now need to access the "Settings" menu
.
To do that, we need to press down on the icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen. It looks like three small white squares in a vertical line. Press down on this icon, and it will open up a menu.

Press down on the word, to open our "Settings" menu.

We are going to scroll down until we get to the "REMINDER SETTINGS" section

In this section, we want the option that says "Default reminder time"
.
When we create an event or something important that we want to remember in the Calendar application, we can select an individual reminder time or multiple reminder times. We can also use the default reminder time. This is where we can set or customize that default time. Press down on this option, and a list of options will appear.

Currently, 15 minutes is the default reminder time
.
We can see the blue circle here, indicating that this option has been selected. We can scroll up and down. There are options ranging from one minute to two weeks. I would forget by the time the event arrived. That may be too far for me. Maybe we'd like to change it to one hour. Fifteen minutes is not quite enough time to rush and get a taxi. One hour gives us some room to maneuver. Therefore, we can press down on "1 hour".

Now we can see it says, "Default reminder time

1 hour", signalling that we have successfully changed this option.

If we wanted to change it again, press down on the option, and make our choice, by selecting any of these options
