2
Then, log into your Godaddy account by clicking "Sign In" in the top-right corner of the window
.

Type the domain name into the "Domain to host" text box
.
It's "xonlo.com" in this video. Below the text box, you will see some options such as "Add WWW" or "Remove WWW".
10
For this tutorial, let's click "Add WWW"
.
This will add "www." to the domain name. This is the default setting.
11
Next, click "Username" with the "Create a New User" setting in the drop-down menu above
.
12
In this video, it's "xonloadmin".
13
Keep the default "PHP mode" setting
.
14
Keep the other options at their default settings
.
15
At the bottom, click "Fully host this domain"
.
DreamHost will give you some name servers to add to your GoDaddy account. In this case, there are three name servers.
16
Highlight the first name server and press "Ctrl" + "C" to copy it into the buffer
.
17
Switch to the GoDaddy tab
.
You may want to copy the name servers over to the GoDaddy account.
18
Click "Manage" for your selected domain name
.
19
Then, click "Manage" under the "Nameservers" heading
.
20
In the pop-up window, check "Custom" under "SETUP TYPE"
.
21
Next, click the green "ADD NAMESERVER" button at the bottom of this window
.
22
Press "Ctrl" + "V" to Paste the first name server into the first text box
.
23
Add two more name servers by clicking "ADD NAMESERVER" two more times
.
They are in numerical order in this video: "NS1.DREAMHOST.COM", "NS2.DREAMHOST.COM", and "NS3.DREAMHOST.COM").
24
Then, click "OK" at the bottom of the window
.
25
In the next window, click on "SAVE"
.
The process may take a few moments to be completed.
That is how you change your domain name servers on GoDaddy to use a separate DNS service. In another video, we'll show how to perform a "One-Click" WordPress installation from DreamHost. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them in the space below. Thank you for watching VisiHow!
