Steps

In order to edit a contact, our phone needs to be unlocked

We should be on the home screen.

In order to reach the home screen, we press the home button one time

Once we've pressed the home button, we need to locate the "Contacts" icon
.
The icon has an orange background with a white silhouette of the head of a person. We tap the icon once. The "Contacts" menu will be shown.

On the "Contacts" menu, we need to tap on a contact
.
In this case, we'll select "Ani Babysitter".

Once we've tapped a person, we need to tap on the "EDIT" option
.
The option is to the left of "MORE" at the upper-right side of the phone. Once we've tapped on "EDIT", we will have the option to edit the person's name, phone, email, groups, ringtone. We can add other fields at will.

In this case, we are simply going to delete the name

We tap once on the name. The name in this video is partially deleted and changed just to "Ani".

Once we've tapped on "SAVE", we can tap on the back button above the contact

We'll be taken back. In this video, the original name will be changed just to "Ani".

We press the home button

We'll be taken back to our home screen.
