    Turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right-hand side of the phone
    .
    The lock screen will appear.

    Swipe the lock screen up to get to the home screen

    On the home screen, locate the Maps tile
    .
    If the Maps tile is not immediately on the screen, scroll down to search the home screen further or swipe to the left to enter the application menu to locate the application. The Maps tile has a blue background and a white map in the middle. Tap the Maps application once it is found to launch the application.

    Use the pinching method to zoom in

    Pinching is sliding two fingers in the opposite directions.
