   Let's start by pressing the lock screen button on the right-hand side

   Swipe across the screen and enter in your PIN or whatever else you have set up for your lock screen

   Tap on the search bar and start typing Telegram

   As you type, Telegram should show up in the drop-down list. Tap that. You may notice that this app wasn't the top choice, at least according to popular culture, which is interesting because Telegram is actually one of the most secure messaging platforms in the world. It was designed by the person who created what is commonly known as the Russian Facebook, VKontakte. Tap on Telegram to read more about the app.

   Telegram syncs with all of your devices. You can use it on a desktop, tablet, and phone. It is very much like WhatsApp, only it is very secure and Facebook doesn't own it.

   My phone says Open since I have already downloaded the application, but yours will say "Get", once you tap on "Get" it will change to "Install"

   Tap on Install, enter in your password and it will begin downloading. Alternatively you may have a cloud with an arrow which indicates that you've downloaded or used this application on a previous device. Tap the cloud and the download will begin. Once it is done downloading, tap Open.

    I can Invite Friends, I can make a New Secret Chat, I can create Broadcast Lists for my contacts and I can add people by pressing the + symbol in the top right corner.

    I can change my Phone Number, set up a Username for when I want to login from desktops or other areas

    To set up a Username, tap on Username and it will bring you to this window

    You can enter a username if you would like to and people can find you by searching for your username. I'm going to set up my username then tap on Done. Now I have a username, just like I have on Twitter.
