Download Maps Directly From Microsoft With a Microsoft Lumia 535

Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to download maps directly from Microsoft when using a Microsoft Lumia 535.
Steps
- 1Then swipe the lock screen up to enter the home screen.To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right-hand side of the phone.
- 2Swipe down from the top to bring up the notifications panel.
- 3Press "All Settings" on the upper right side of the screen.
- 4Swipe across the screen from right to left to bring up the "applications" settings.
- 5It is not necessary to be connected to the internet to use any downloaded maps. Since they will be downloaded directly to your phone, you can use them offline and when you are physically roaming. There are other map applications that can be downloaded, which may offer something different than the Microsoft map application.Tap on "maps".
- 6The program will bring up all of the maps that are currently available.Press "download maps", located toward the lower middle of the screen.
- 7This will bring up a list of continents.To get a new map, press the plus sign at the bottom of the screen.
- 8Choose a continent by tapping on it.
- 9A message will appear that states, "Downloading these maps will take a few minutes. If you leave this page, the download will pause, but you can finish downloading it when you come back."Next, choose a country from the list.
- 10The map will begin downloading. A blue bar indicating download progress will appear just below the country name.Tap the "download" button at the bottom left of the screen.
- 11A message will appear that says, "Map is ready. Your map is downloaded and ready to go, so you can get information about this area even when you don't have a data connection. Just open any map or navigation app to see it in action.When the download is finished, tap the country name to open that map.
- 12Tap the "OK" button to continue.
- 13Exit the "downloaded maps" screen and return to the home screen by tapping on the second icon at the bottom of the screen.
- 14At the home screen, find and tap on the "Maps" tile.
- 15Then find the location for the map you downloaded.Zoom out on the current map by pinching your fingers together on the screen.
- 16It is the icon on the far right.Alternatively, search for the location by pressing the magnifying glass at the bottom of the screen.
- 17Type the location name in the search box at the top of the screen.
- 18When the screen is centered on the location, zoom in by pinching and pulling your fingers apart on the screen.
- 19Since we have downloaded the map, it will give us quite a lot of information about it.
