Download Music From App Store
- 1Before you can download music on your Polaroid, you need to have an Amazon Mp3 App.
- 2Just go to your main menu and look for 'Amazon App Store'. From there look for the Amazon Mp3 Apps and then "Tap" to install (follow the onscreen instructions). After you have installed the Amazon Mp3 App, or if you already have this installed in your Polaroid proceed to the next step.If you do not have Amazon Mp3 App installed in your Polaroid , all you have to do is go to the 'Amazon App Store' which is pre-installed on your Polaroid.
- 3There is a lot of music, both free and music you pay for, available.Tap "Amazon App Store", and you can then select an option.
- 4Search for the song that you want to download and follow the onscreen instructions.
Transfer Music from the Computer to Polaroid
If your preferred music or songs are not available on the App Store, you may also transfer music from your computer to your Polaroid.
- 1Make sure that it's the USB that came with your Polaroid, or one that is compatible. Often, even though the USB fits, it won't work. It's always best to use the USB cord that came with your device.Connect the USB from your Polaroid to your Computer.
- 2After connecting the Polaroid and Computer via USB, there will be a popup window that will then give you an option, you must select "Turn ON USB Storage" and select 'OK' to continue.
- 3You will have the option to select what application you want to use to open the file. From the General Options choose "Open Folder to View Files". From here you will be able to transfer music from your computer to Polaroid. It's just like transferring a file to a USB drive.AutoPlay, a popup, will appear.
Transfer Music from Flash Drive
For under $100, you get a lot of bang for your buck with the Polaroid Internet Tablet. Do not, however, expect it to compare to the much pricier Kindle. It is just a basic Tablet, but does have many fine features.
- 7-inch screen with decent screen resolution for your games and movies.
- WiFi.
- You can download Netflix and many apps with this Tablet.
You might, however, be disappointed that it can't transfer music from your Flash drive, because it is not equipped to recognize external devices.
Questions and Answers
Hello how do I download from computer to Tablet I have a 7' internet Tablet?
Hello I bought this and I just cannot seem to be able to download.
Depending on the brand of your Tablet, you can usually connect it to your computer with the supplied USB cable, and use a sync software to make your file transfers.
Other methods you can try are through WiFi, microSD or Cloud based storage. For WiFi and cloud storage options, you'll need an internet connection for both the Tablet and your computer. Using a microSD will probably be the best and most direct way to transfer. If your Tablet comes equipped with a microSD slot, you will need to also have an USB card reader that looks like this.
Simply insert the microSD into the reader and plug it into your computer's USB port. Copy the files you need onto the new external drive and then insert the microSD into your Tablet. For WiFi transfer, both the Tablet and the computer will need to be connected on the same WiFi network. You can then use this free WiFi Transfer app from the play store to move files to and from your computer.
Cloud storage sharing of files can be done with the dropbox app. Sign up for an account here.
Install the app on your Tablet: HERE
All you need to do is upload the files from your computer to the new dropbox account. From your Tablet, log in to the same account and you will be able to see and download those files.
Most generic tablets will need the manufacturer's USB drivers and possibly a PC suite type software to allow you to transfer between the devices. Check the brand and model of your Tablet and see if such drivers and software are available from the manufacturer's site.
As an alternative, you can also transfer files from computer to Tablet using a variety of methods. If the Tablet came with a microSD card slot, you can move your files using a card reader on the computer. You can also move the files wirelessly if both the Tablet and computer and connected to the same WiFi network using WiFi transfer apps available from your app store.
In the step of After connecting the USB from both devices (Polaroid and Computer) there will be a popup window it will then give you an option, you must select 'Turn ON USB Storage' then select 'OK' to continue. No pop up
There are a lot of things that you need to consider why your device is not being detected by the computer. Considering firewalls, securities and even hardware malfunction that can cause not to detect any devices when it is connected to the computer via USB cable.
If your computer was a work Laptop from the company where you worked; they have their own security software for them to prohibit you to export and import files from that computer which the only way is to have their security disabled by using an administrator account from their IT. These users are different from the administrative log in to your computer as it has different privileges. You can ask your boss, but they may not approve your request due to security reasons.
When you are connecting your device via USB cable, make sure that you plug the cable to your computer securely and properly connected to the USB slot and will not wiggle when you try to move it. You can also try to connect the Tablet to another USB port and try to use another USB cable as it may be the issue why it isn't being detected by your computer. You can also try to reboot your computer in safe mode and see if the Tablet can be detected.
It is also possible that your computer's firewall or an Anti-virus is causing the problem why there is no pop up on your computer screen. Try to disable or turn off your computer's firewall first, then unplug and re-plug the device to your computer and check if there is a pop up on screen now. Commonly, an anti-virus is causing this problem that your device is not being detected as it detects it as a threat for your computer but actually it is not a threat only a miss-communication with the devices.
Make sure before doing all of the suggestion above you restart the Tablet or phone first. This will refresh the system. If all else fails from the first suggestion, to isolate the problem why there is no pop up on screen, try use a different computer and see if the device is being detected by using a different computer where you can determine if your computer is causing the problem or the device that you are trying to connect to the computer via USB.
