Do Other Tasks on Samsung Galaxy S4 While Playing Videos (Video Multitasking)

Samsung Galaxy S4 allows you to do other phone tasks while you are watching a video. You can search the mobile web, send, read and compose SMS and do other functions while at the same time playing your favorite video without interruptions. To do that, do the following:

Go to your home menu by tapping on the "Home" button (the middle button on the lower part of the screen)

Once you are on the home screen, tap on the "Apps" icon
to get to the applications list page

Once you are on the applications list, look for the "Gallery" icon
and tap on it

From the gallery, tap on the folder that contains the video that you want to play

From the folder, look for the video that you want to play and tap on it to begin playing

The video should start playing

On the video's lower controls, tap the "Pop up Video" icon
located on the lower-right part of the video. If the option is not visible, tap anywhere on the video to show the controls including the Pop up Video icon.

The video will now show in a minimized version

It will continue playing and allows you to control and use your phone for other purposes. Press on the "Home" key to go back to the home menu.

You will now be taken to the home screen

You can move the video to anywhere on your screen by doing a pressing and dragging gesture and releasing it on the desired area. You can make the video smaller or bigger by using two fingers to pinch or expand the video frame size.

If you need to pause the video, tap anywhere inside the video screen to temporarily stop it

The video will stop playing but will continue to stay at the front of your phone.

Once the video ends, the player will automatically close

You can also close it manually by tapping the "X" button
located on the upper-right portion of the video.
