   In order to turn off, or disable, the hotspot on your Galaxy S6, swipe down from the top of the screen

   This will open up the notification panel. You will see that you have "Tethering or hotspot active".

   Alternatively, the quickest and the easiest way is to tap the "WiFi" icon

   A single tap on the "WiFi" icon will bring up a menu informing you that if you turn on WiFi, you will turn off the mobile hotspot.

   However, let's tap on "CANCEL" right now

    If you don't have "Tethering or hotspot active" icon, you may not want to turn on WiFi and Bluetooth because those will also turn off "Mobile Hotspot".
