If you need to turn off or disable the mobile hotspot on your own Galaxy Tab, it's a very simple process

To begin, swipe down from the top of your screen to open up the notifications panel. When the notifications panel opens, you can tap on the "Tethering or hotspot active" item to modify or disable this feature.

You can scroll over through your quick access menu and tap the icon for "Mobile hotspot"

If you do not have these two options, you can tap on the gear-shaped "Settings" icon one time

A single tap will open up the "Settings" menu

Make sure that "Mobile hotspot and tethering" is selected on the left hand side of the screen.

In the top item under "Mobile hotspot and tethering", you can see that the mobile hotspot is currently set to "On"

Tap one time to open this item.

Now, tap one more time on the green switch in the upper right hand corner of the screen

The mobile hotspot will be turned off.

Then, you can press the "Home" button on your device in order to return to the home screen
