Hi, you're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to disable help tips on Windows 8 computers.
Press and hold the Windows key and then press the "R" key. This opens the Run window.
Click "OK" or hit the enter key. It will open a window called "Local Group Policy Editor".
Click "Computer Configuration".
Double-click "Administrative Templates".
Double-click "Windows Components".
Click "Edge UI". On the right side of the screen, there is a "Disable help tips" option.
Double-click "Disable help tips".
Navigate to the top left corner of the "Disable help tips" window that opens. Currently, ours is set to "Not Configured", which is indicated by the black dot next to that option.
Click the radio button next to "Enabled" to disable the help tips. This is because we are enabling the "disable help tips" function. Clicking "Disabled" would prevent the disabling of help tips.
Click "OK". To apply the changes, we might need to restart the computer.
Close the window by clicking the "X" button in the top right corner.
This concludes our tutorial on how to disable help tips on Windows 8 computers. Thank you for watching VisiHow. If you have any other comments or questions, please leave them in the comments section below.
