If by any chance your PC was forced to shut down, means a power cutoff or you just unplug the power because of any reason, of your Windows is stuck and you have no option but to shut it down the hard way. By doing this any open process and unsaved process in your PC remains damage until it is given proper checking by Chkdsk, personally I like this process of Checking, but under some circumstances it will just bother you, now this Chkdsk has been rarely seen on the NTFS file system but more commonly on FAT 32 file system. Anyhow, if you don't like it there is a way you can disable it, but be very careful otherwise you disk won't be properly checked and many files remain damaged.

Warnings

• Never unplug the power, causing force shutdown will enable Chkdsk.
• Never Skip it.

   Open run and write chkntfs /x c: every time you run your computer

   Navigate the following Subkey HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager

   Change Boot Execute to autocheck autochk*

   Exit the regedit.
